About
Lena Jenny is a self taught artist currently living and working in Boston MA. With a passion for painting that has spanned the past 15 years, recent exploration has led her to branch into two seemingly disparate styles.
She is a full time ASL/English interpreter and many of her pieces are directly influenced by the gifted Deaf folks that she works with. The Deaf people in her life have taught her about the dialectic nature of visual expression. This sparked an artistic investigation into both the rigid and meticulous alongside the fluid and nebulous. Currently working on both canvas and paper, Lena’s body of work continues to explore inherently conflicting ways of communicating through color and shape.
